FEATURES
- The front doors of the Sirion open to nearly 80 degrees which makes entry and exit as easy as possible.
- The finish of the vehicle underneath the cubby hole shows attention to detail, and the quality of the finishes.
- There is plenty of storage space in the front with two passenger cup holders, dual cubby hole as well as side door pockets.
- The passenger seatbelt is height adjustable for greater comfort.
- All four doors in the Sirion have dual side impact beams.
THE SIRION OFFERS UNBEATEN INTERIOR ROOM FOR ALL CARS IN ITS RANGE
- By moving the wheels out to the corners of the car the wheelbase is long compared with the body.
- This improves handling.
- This also improves the amount of interior space.

There is a 60:40 rear split of the seating in the Sirion meaning that either or both sides of the rear seat can be folded forward.
- The fold forward of the rear seats is simple and does not need any strength.
- The seat base moves forward with a simple pull function of the handle provided.
- The function is light and easy to do.
- The rear seats fold forward fl at providing a smooth surface to slide objects into when loading the boot.
- The rear doors also open to 80 degrees to improve the ease of entry and exit and make sure that it is easier to load or unload awkward objects.
- There are three rear seatbelts which are 3 point type. This means that the middle passenger has the same full safety as the other passengers.
There is a rear demister as well as rear windscreen wiper for the rear of the car.
- The rear door opens high to avoid being awkward when using the boot space. The total height is 1910 mm, which is sufficient even for men to stand under comfortably.
- The boot floor is flush with the edge of the bumper which allows easier loading and sliding in and out of objects.
- The rear suspension does not impinge on the boot space and allows for maximum space in the boot.
- The rear bumper is made of polypropylene, which means that it will withstand impacts of up to 15 km/h without cracking or chipping the paint.
THE K3VE ENGINE IS ONE OF THE BEST DESIGNED, MOST RELIABLE AND FUEL EFFICIENT ENGINES AVAILABLE

EMISSION - INTELLIGENT CATALYST
This is the world’s first automotive catalyst with self regeneration of precious metals. Using nanotechnology, Daihatsu has succeeded in incorporating the precious metals in a catalytic converter in crystal structures which then self regenerate.
- This means less wastage of precious metals and constant performance of the converter throughout the life of the car.

- Polypropylene fog lamps also resist fading and cracking and do not chip like glass fog lamps.
- The 3SZ-VE engine is one of the best designed, most reliable and fuel efficient engines available.
- Fuel consumption is just 6.5 l /100km for the M/T.
- CO2 emissions is just 145 g CO2/km.

- Distributor less engine which means fewer moving parts, better reliability and less maintenance costs.
- Polymer intake manifold: the engine reaches operating temperature quicker, therefore minimising wear and tear and improving reliability.
- Single coil per cylinder: the computer individually times the ignition sequence of the cylinders for better fuel economy and lower emissions.
Because of the exceptional reliability of the Sirion, the maintenance plan prices are the best in its class. This is because a maintenance plan uses the price of parts together with how often a car will require those parts to be replaced to come to the pricing. The Sirion comes standard with a service plan, which proves how reliable it is.
Extra reinforcements throughout the Sirion body mean that the Sirion withstands impacts from different sized cars with ease. The occupant cabin has been tested to ensure that it does not deform, even under extreme impacts, so the cabin remains intact.
- The pillar by the front passenger head has an impact absorbing honeycomb structure to absorb the force form any accident.
- In addition to the anti intrusion reinforcement at the front of the cabin, there is extra shock absorbing material to prevent injuries caused by hitting the dash materials.
- The A pillar and Centre pillar are reinforced, as is the belt line and the door impact beams. This surrounds the occupants with a reinforced cage which will not allow an impact to crush them.

THE FRONT AREA WITH ENGINE HAS THE FOLLOWING:
- Engine will move downwards in severe impacts, therefore not ending up on the cabin occupants and not endangering their legs.
- The entire front compartment is designed to collapse without risking the passengers and the A pillar is reinforced. The front suspension will move outward in the case of an accident.
- The dash panel is further reinforced to prevent any intrusion to where the driver sits.
* The Sirion has dual airbags which means that the front passenger has the same airbag protection as the driver.
- The driver:
- The sensor is mounted to the sub frame of the vehicle.
- Airbag will only deploy in accident over 40 km/h.
- The driver brake pedal has an anti intrusion function which prevents injury to the driver’s legs in the event of an accident.
- The driver also has impact absorbing material at the roof pillar to prevent head injury from side impacts.
